Den 3 Cub Scout Schedule 2004-2005

 

  1. Activity badges – These are the badges the boys need to earn to receive the Arrow of Light at the end of next year (5th grade).  This schedule will ensure that they successfully complete all the requirements.  Please note that four (4) badges need to be earned during July and August 2005.  The alternative is for the boys to do more work during the school year (yeah, right!).  This is a lot of work for the boys to do and you will need to help them.  We will do a lot of it during the den meetings, but we can not do it all there.  Please send their handbooks with them every meeting.

 

 

  1. Meeting Dates (Tentative, based on final Pack Meeting Schedule) – As usual, the meetings are planned for Thursdays, however, there will most likely be a few exceptions, such as the first meeting on Saturday, September 18th.

 

 

  1. Parental Schedule (to be finalized when den member list is complete) – As usual, we need two deep leadership for all meetings and activities, which means that two parents are needed to assist the den leader or assistant den leader.  If we have a smaller den than last year, we may be able to get by with only one parent at the meetings.

 

 

4.   Field Trips will be held on days other than den meeting days, such as Saturday, Sunday, or Tuesdays.  Field trips will be related to the badges we are currently working on for the month.  Parental assistance will be required for each field trip.  Big Walter Rockwell is assisting with the first field trip and so we might as well continue in alphabetical order from there.  David Sussman will be next in line.  I do not have a field trip schedule as of yet, other than the one scheduled for 9/22.  That will be coming next.
